Who I am
My name is Barry White and this website is an explanation of who I am and what I do.
Just as all the work I do face to face requires trust and confidence so too does any involvement with the website which after all is an extension of what I do.
This means that any information I have is directly due to contact with me that you have made, and I do not sell, rent or give out any information in any way to others. – you will see the detail of what is collected later in this document and how we keep it secure.
This document contains information on:
- how I use your data;
- what personal data I collect;
- how I ensure your privacy is maintained; and
- your legal rights relating to your personal data.
Cookies are messages that web servers pass to your web browser when you visit Internet sites. Your browser stores each message in a small file, called cookie.txt . When you request another page from the server, your browser sends the cookie back to the server.

I do not currently use a mailing list. However if at some point in the future I do use one then this will be through a company called MailChimp, who specialise in this field. I would gather statistics around mail opening and clicks to help me monitor and improve my services.

I am a reseller for OpenSRS/ Tucows based in the United States. When I arrange a domain name for you I input information into their systems so that you can purchase your domain name.

I pay to rent space on a server that is well maintained and held in a secure environment so that their own security systems help to ensure the safety of your data.

This site and all sites that I look after are in addition protected by additional software to try and fend off any attacks on the server. In all the years that I have been doing this so far there have been no successful breaches of the information on my server.
All notes are confidential and are only shared with my supervisor on a summary basis or with any legal request from the courts. Otherwise these are not shared.
Access to your personal information
Under GDPR, you have the right to access and amend any of their personal data that I hold.

If you are a counselling client then there are records that must be kept for legal purposes, but these will not be held any longer than necessary and as set down by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
